As its name may suggest, Neenah Paper has been a long time fixture in the Fox Cities Economy. Since the days when hydroelectric power ruled and “paper money” payed the Fox Cities’ bills, Neenah Paper has built a tradition of innovation, service and growth. Founded in 1873 in Neenah, WI, their Neenah Mill holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating mill within Neenah Paper, Inc.
The company’s Appleton Mill (430 E South Island Street) is currently going through an expansion–showing the continued commitment from Neenah Paper in the Fox Cities. Howard Piotrowski, manager of the Neenah Paper’s Appleton and Neenah mills, described the 44,000-square-foot expansion “exciting and compelling”. The project will include several new working spaces including manufacturing, offices, a distribution dock and more which will accommodate the creation of approximately 20 new jobs. The project is expected to be completed in 2017.
Currently the Appleton Mill employs 100 people, although Neenah Paper employs approximately 500 people in the Fox Cities region as a whole. More info and complete catalogue of products at: http://www.neenahpaper.com/
