Fox Cites Regional Partnership gathers steam with new investors

Amerequip Corporation and WOW Logistics join as investors

Appleton, Wis. (March 30, 2016)Amerequip Corporation, a Kiel-based provider of custom equipment and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) solutions, and WOW Logistics Company, a warehousing and distribution firm headquartered in the Fox Cities, have become the latest investors of the Fox Cities Regional Partnership. The support of dedicated private and public investors plays a crucial role in the delivery of the Regional Partnership’s programs and services, which are focused on attracting, retaining and growing businesses and talent in the region.

Amerequip Corp.’s first interaction with the Regional Partnership was during the former company’s expansion of its Kiel plant. The $7.7 million project created approximately 103 jobs and added more than 100,000 square feet of state-of-the-art production space. “Amerequip is focused on providing our customers with the best equipment available, as well as creating a great work environment for our staff,” Mike VanderZanden, president and CEO at Amerequip Corp, said. “We weren’t as familiar with the key players and processes involved with growing our Kiel operation. The Regional Partnership provided us valuable support throughout our expansion project. The resources that they helped bring to the table have allowed us the confidence to enter yet another expansion phase, which is currently underway.”

Amerequip joins a number of other local manufacturers in the Regional Partnership’s Supporters Circle, including Great Northern Corporation and Innovative Machining.

Earlier this month, WOW Logistics announced that it is developing plans to build a new, 24,000-square-foot corporate office in the Town of Menasha. WOW selected the 7.2-acre site after an exhaustive search for the ideal property and municipality in which to expand. Leading that search was the Fox Cities Regional Partnership.

“This expansion project is a result of the exponential growth WOW Logistics has experienced over the last few years,” Howard Kamerer, president and CEO of WOW Logistics, said. “Our growth is due to the successful launch and execution of new supply chain solutions, warehouse infrastructure and expansion of WOW’s Trade Finance Program. The Regional Partnership has been an invaluable resource to our company as we looked for ways to grow in the Fox Cities Region. We’re happy to support their efforts to help other local employers add and retain jobs.”

WOW Logistics joins a number of other local companies in the Regional Partnership’s Investors Circle, including Faith Technologies, Pfefferle Management and McMAHON Group.

“We appreciate Amerequip and WOW Logistics’ support and continued investment in the Fox Cities Region,” Manny Vasquez, vice president of the Fox Cities Regional Partnership, said. “We’re excited to see these companies grow in the Valley and look forward to our partnership in helping to grow the local economy.”
