POLYFLEX GROUNDBREAKING SCHEDULED
CR Structures Group, Inc.
PolyFlex, Inc. a manufacturer of large plastic parts for a variety of industries, including transportation and waste collection will break ground on its new Kaukauna location at 1:30 pm, May 2. The groundbreaking ceremony will feature company representatives, local government and business leaders, and the general contractor.
Headquartered in Walworth, Wisconsin, PolyFlex selected the Fox Cities Region and the City of Kaukauna for their 60,000 square foot expansion project because of the quality of workers available here, as well as the competitively priced electric service available through Kaukauna Utilities.
Construction of the PolyFlex building is targeted for an October completion, with production beginning in November. The company will begin accepting applications this summer for the 40 new positions at the facility. CR Structures Group, Inc. of Menasha will serve as the general contractor on the project. The City of Kaukauna Planning and Community Development Department, Industrial and Commercial Development Commission and the Common Council all provided support to the project.
The decision of PolyFlex to locate in Kaukauna marks the first industry attraction success for the two-year old Fox Cities Regional Partnership, a public/private partnership established by the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce to support primary job growth throughout Outagamie, Calumet and the northern portion of Winnebago counties. The Regional Partnership works in collaboration with the region’s local governments and private companies to advance the type of job creation projects typified by the PolyFlex expansion facility.
